Annika John

A woman with blonde hair is sitting at a table and speaking to a group. She holds both of her hands up in the air while she explains something.

Annika and Salt & Fiber are developing a new textile fiber made from seagrass, a marine resource that grows without freshwater, fertilisers or pesticides and is currently an underused waste stream, not only along Sweden’s coastline.

About

By transforming seagrass into a sustainable fiber and yarn, Salt & Fiber offers fashion and interior companies a biodegradable, low-impact and traceable alternative to petrochemical materials, while contributing to more resilient supply chains.

Programme period

Spring 2026.
