Fritids/After School Care
Our Fritids (literally translated as free time) Programme refers to the before and after school curriculum.
Fritids is a time for choice of meaningful activities that are constantly evolving based on the students' interests and needs. This is also done in collaboration with our Fritids’ student council.
At the International School of Älmhult (ISÄ) Fritids you will meet a diverse team of teachers who will help, encourage and support your child during the day. We are working with International Baccalaureate (IB) learner profiles to teach the children to be responsible and caring with friends, teachers and materials both in school, Fritids and their outside environment.
Fritids opens every day at 7:00 am and is outdoor only. Breakfast can be served if requested. In the afternoon, Fritids starts when school ends. There are various clubs and activities for students to sign-up for. These are planned by the Fritids teachers in connection to the IB’s learner profile and ranging from sports and arts up to woodwork and music/dance. In between, students will get a snack.
All students up until they turn 13 can attend Fritids for at least 2 afternoons (until 4pm). If both parents are working/studying fulltime, students can stay in Fritids daily. See the link below for more information on the fees and the specific conditions to attend.
You can contact Fritids via phone or email. Look at our contact information.
