Winter Sports Tradition

Each year, as we approach the Sportslov holiday, our PSPE teachers organise winter sports activities, giving students the opportunity to try new sports or further develop their skills.
For the past few years, we have dedicated time for each class to go ice skating at a nearby skating hall. In Week 7, our PYP 1–5 students, together with teachers, support staff, and even some parents, enjoyed another fun and active day on the ice.
It was inspiring to see students show courage — especially those skating for the first time. With the help of skating aids and the steady support of staff on the ice, many gradually built confidence and soon glided independently. More experienced skaters encouraged and guided their friends, demonstrating care, resilience, and teamwork throughout the day.
With warm hot chocolate, sandwiches, and plenty of smiles, the day was a wonderful reminder that learning also happens beyond the classroom — through movement, challenge, and shared experiences.
