Successful PYP 5 Exhibition Showcases Student Learning at ISÄ

Last Thursday and Friday, we proudly celebrated another successful PYP 5 Exhibition at ISÄ. Over the past two months, our students have engaged deeply in inquiry, exploring issues they are genuinely passionate about. During the exhibition, they confidently presented their learning, demonstrating that they are knowledgeable, reflective, and skilled communicators.
The exhibition truly reflected the strength of our learning community. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated homeroom teachers, our supportive parents and guardians, and our committed exhibition mentors who guided students throughout the journey. We also extend our appreciation to the wider school community for coming together to celebrate student learning.
We are incredibly proud of our PYP 5 students and the meaningful learning they have accomplished.
What is the PYP Exhibition?
The PYP Exhibition is a student-led, collaborative inquiry where learners showcase the knowledge, skills, and understanding they have developed throughout their time in the PYP.
During the exhibition, students:
- Choose real-world issues they are passionate about
- Conduct in-depth research over several weeks or months
- Apply skills across subject areas, including research, communication, self-management, collaboration, and thinking
- Demonstrate the IB Learner Profile attributes, such as being inquirers, communicators, and reflective learners
- Take action by raising awareness, proposing solutions, or making a difference in their community
Why is the PYP Exhibition important?
- Marks the transition from the PYP to the next stage of learning
- Gives students voice, choice, and ownership of their learning
- Demonstrates their growth as confident and independent learners
- Brings together students, teachers, mentors, parents, and the wider school community
