A day in Älmhult is not complete without some kind of Fika (coffee and sweets) experience!

It is hard to beat a visit to the garden cafe in Råshult a sunny day. They offer home baked Fika in a lovely outdoor environment next to the walking paths in the culture reserve. A rainy day (God forbid) they have seatings inside aswell.

You can combine a visit to Råshult with a nice bicycle tour with signposts from Älmhult station. It is about 12 kilometers in one direction and takes you through a bit of true Småland scenery. If you have the whole day and like bicycling, expand your tour to include Möckelsnäs where you also find food, sweets and beverages on a terrace next to the lake.

At the main square in Älmhult has Cafe Kagan and its guests the best Fika position in town. A sunny day this is a good place for showing your new summer outfit. Speaking of outdoor seatings like this, there are some more options in the main strees and not to forget mentioning - Brasserie Goaroije is the perfect spot for the after work drink.
