At the International School of Älmhult, we are encouraging our students to become international individuals. This means that broad-mindedness is our educational platform. It means an internationally based curriculum and a multi-cultural environment. It also means that all our teaching is done in English.

We believe that a low teacher-to-student ratio is one of the most critical elements of a quality education. That is why we keep our classes small. The result is a friendly and learning enriched environment for all our students.

Most lessons are held in a renovated school building close to the centre of Älmhult. There are recreational areas just around the corner, and most work places are only a few minutes walk away.

The school enjoys the use of additional facilities in a nearby school where classes such as science, music and physical education take place.

The school employs a staff of fully trained teachers with an international background. All the teachers working with implementing the programmes of learning within the school attend official IBO workshops.

Pre-school is a state school run byt the local education authorities in Älmhults municipality.
