It is important that you learn Swedish, if you do not already speak the language. Courses teaching Swedish for immigrants ("Vägen in") is offered at Älmhult's centre for adult and upper secondary-level education, Haganässkolan.

We also offer an introduction to the Swedish society and public authorities. The target groups for this introduction are immigrants and refugees with a resident permit — children as well as adults — being registered as residents in the municipality of Älmhult.
